The DAY

May 02, 2009, Saturday.
The day that I spent my day running before the cabs.
The day I spent eating my 11AM breakfast at McDonald's alone.
The day I went to bank to do some errands.
The day I went bus & walk in a so sand storming sunny day. (My new umbrella wasn't a help.)
The day I got my hair cut so short.
The day I had some facial hair thread too!

Dubai oh, Dubai

she went this morning to Dubai Court. Damn long trailed traffic. she traveled like an hour going to a place that you could drive in just 15 minutes in a normal non-traffic day. she had that 8.30AM appointment and thankfully she was 10 minutes early. she had been attended to shortly and after just 15 minutes she was out of that government building.

From there she and her sister went to The Philippine School to gather some documents for her nephew. she felt her tummy called for food and off she went to the school canteen right after she scooped her nephew from the court playing basketball.

ELEMENTS - The Dubai Mall

Went to The Dubai Mall after my 3PM Saturday work. My sister, Dane (my nephew) and Nina had scooped me up from work to visit the ELEMENT Shop. The intention is to bring the boy in and check whatever board design he may fancy and gather up saving to buy it for him.

After few walking and window shopping, we found the shop near the ice skating rink. The boy hurried up and was so shy to pick up whatever he liked since he was thinking that I will be just bringing home the board on my October vacation. I cannot explain it but I saw in his eyes the passion for such dangerous sport. He liked everything he sees and he cannot wait even a second to purchase one.

I talked him out that I will buy it in few days time when I received my pay. It breaks my heart to see his expression on what I just said. I made him compute how much the board will cost and eventually I was persuaded to buy one for him.

He had chosen a everything and have it customized. I cannot believe that he loves surprises as much as I love it. Later on when the board got fixed and well working, the little boy kissed both my cheeks in thanks. My heart got pinched. I don't care how much that little board had caused me. I don't care how much money I need to spend just to make my nephew happy.

In few days time, he will be traveling back home and chances of seeing him will be like how often rain visits UAE. I will surely miss him.

Angels & Demons

After lunch, me and my college buddy Erwin had decided to just take a bit of time to unwind and relax. Away from work and non-understanding bosses.

3PM, Erwin came buzzing the secured door. We talked some and off I went out of the office. We took a cab and went directly to the cinema. We picked the 4.30PM playing schedule so we could took off early and less traffic. We watched the movie like 2 hours and 20 minutes playing time. We were appeased when we finish watching it and not disappointed.

We walk some in the supermarket for me to buy some books to read. We part ways at the taxi station. After 20 dirhams and 15 minutes of travel I was home. Erwin had like 45 dirhams and 30 minutes or more.

a depressing day

I woke up so early today to go to Dubai Court. As I had been waiting for somebody to drive me off there, I went online & chatted with my sister. We talked about this and that; and what is the current happenings back home.

After waiting nearly 2 hours for a drop off, I cannot stand it anymore. I scooped my things up and there I go, walking in the raging heat of the sun until I reached the bus stop. I will just go to my office and borrow some cash so I can go Dubai Court.

Apologies accepted and there are times that "Thank you" is not enough.

I am full and its a blast.
